In the event that a balance grows too high, the provider will shut off the service or will charge liens to the property owner.

- If the tenant doesn't pay, Up&Up assumes responsibility to keep service on. The bill we be charged back to you and you will pay the processing fee ($7.34 as of April 2024)
- In areas like North Carolina, Up&Up cannot pay a tenant's past due balance and the provider will shut off your service.
We recommend calling your utility provider immediately and directly first as these rules may vary by county.
