- Check that it’s in the ON position
- Make sure that the ice maker is left and that there are no loose screws or mounting brackets. If the ice maker is not level, the ice will not be level in the mold and the ejector might not function properly
- If that doesn’t work, remove the entire tray and empty it. Make sure there’s no blockage. Run some water to clear any of the ice that’s stuck in there
- If that doesn’t work, empty the entire fridge and freezer and unplug the entire appliance. Let the fridge thaw out completely.
- Check the water line to the fridge. Run your hand along the water line to check for kinks in the hose and straighten out any that you find. If you feel a cold lump, this could be ice blocking a pipe inside the freezer itself. Thawing out the fridge thoroughly should facilitate defrosting
- Make sure that the water valve is ON in the back; you will typically see this in the wall.
- Check and replace your fridge water filter if needed. It should be replaced every 6 months.
